How long have you been working at FITKIDS?
A
I am a foundation trainer. I was at the very first session at Palm Beach Primary

What is your favourite thing about working with kids?
A
It's fun. I am a big kid and I like to join in too.

Why are your FITKID sessions the best sessions going around?
A
I'm not sure, I think it is just because I really love what I do. This isn't a job for me, I really have a ball every single afternoon.

Whats the number one game in your repertoire?
A
Run the Gauntlet or Water Bomb Bust. Anything that keeps kids moving and not staying still.
Q5Tell us about a FITKIDS success story from your sesions?
A
A girl named jamie. She has really improved in her overall attitude and her fitness has improved out of sight. She has even lost a lot of weight. Now she runs and beats everyone in the session. In the beginning if any one bumped into her she would storm off (became upset easily), I think I have helped her to adapt to different situations and now she reacts differently to the same situations.
FITKIDS has improved her ability to work with other kids. These days, she actually encourages other students to try their hardest. I am really proud of her.

If you weren't a FITKIDS instructor, what would you be?
A
PE teacher, same sort of thing, because I love working with kids.

They say never work with kids or animals. What are three keys to training kids?
A
Keep it fun, keep them moving, be clear in your instruction, oh and most importantly keep it FUN!

Why do they call you "MR Reliable"
A
Because you can always count on me to put on a good session, no matter who the kids are. I just seem to relate to most kids really well. Maybe that comes back to me being a big kid again.

A

What are your 3 top tips for parents trying to improve their kids health, fitness and motivation to exercise?
A
Regular exercise and weight training
Eat well most days of the week
Play with your kids. Kick a ball, ride bikes together, lead by example.
Add healthy treats to their lunch box

A
I love chin ups. I can do 20 in a row
