The Inactivity Cycle
Child tries a sport → Child receives lack of enjoyment/fulfilment in the activity because of lack of competency, it is the wrong sport for their personality, or a lack of encouragement from parents or friends → Child quits the sport and forms a negative association with the activity → Child tries another sport (hopefully)
This cycle continues for many (or few) rounds depending on the support and encouragement a child receives from family and friends. However, eventually if they cannot find an activity they enjoy by the time they are teenagers, many youth remain inactive for the rest of their lives. The negative association with separate activities has now spread to ensure the child feels a negative association with all physical activity (fitness sux), and thus chooses to avoid physical activity and trying new activities ( or revisiting previously tried ones) unless someone can break down that thought process.
This is the Number 1 consequence you must avoid as a parent!
Children who are not involved in physical activity become adults who are not involved in physical activity.
Their:
- Bones will be less dense ( future osteoporosis)
- Confidence will be lower ( depression, anxiety, unwilling to try new things)
- Social skills and teamwork skills will be underdeveloped
- Determination and drive will be lower
- Fitness and lean muscle will be lower
- Core muscles will be weaker ( lower back, hip and knee problems as adults)
- Their cardiovascular system will be weaker ( higher chance of hypertension)
- Blood Sugar tolerance will be lower ( less lean muscle, greater insulin spikes, more fat storage)
- Ability to burn fat will be lower in comparison to other adults and they will be more likely to be overweight.
- Energy will be lower (Less energy = less life)
If you let you child go through their childhood without ensuring they are involved in at least some form of physical activity you are being negligent as a parent. They will be considerably worse off as adults health wise than other kids who are frequently active and involved in physical activity.

Our find a Sport (Fitness passion) program ensures that we will work with your child to develop a basic grounding in all gross motor and sports specific skills. We trial different sports and physical activities and focus on the ones you child enjoys. Whether it is eventually an organised sport or purely a love of gym or even bushwalking, we will help them find their fitness passion!

Our FITKIDS PT Club: is for parents who don't necessarily want to find their kids a sport or activity they love, but more just get them active and teach them about nutrition and healthy lifestyle practices. For parents who want their children to develop healthy lifestyle habits necessary to live a healthy adult life.

- The skills and habits your child learns at FITKIDS club will set them up for a lifetime of health and happiness.
- They will learn and develop basic and advanced coordination skills, build fitness levels while being monitored closely by professional trainers. They will learn nutrition and healthy lifestyle habits that will ensure they have the knowledge and awareness to become healthy, active and Happy adults.
- Coordination and competency is developed in activity through repetition. If you do not have the time to teach your child the movement and sports skills necessary to achieve competency in most physical activities, you need to act NOW! Do not let your child avoid physical activity
- All sessions are run by internationally certified personal trainers who have been specifically trained in kids fitness. They all have relevant working with children's checks and insurance!

- Normal personal training sessions coast $65 to $100 per hour, but not at FITKIDS club!
- You get the benefits of personal training, the personalised attention of personal training and the advantage of working with personal trainers and nutritionists for a special FITKIDS club price.
- Just $25 per child/session! (Maximum 6 kids per class) At FITKIDS club we believe in quality over quantity!
